My Students

The students I will be working with this year have not had very much math success. This program will target those struggling students and help them have a meaningful and positive math experience throughout their years in high school. Our school is identifying those students who are below grade level in math and help them have success. By using technology we hope to inspire them to think about math in a different way then they are accustomed. They need to identify with why math is important so they can move forward and find success.

My Project

Chromebooks with a charging box will help our students learn math concepts and principles in a way that they haven't had access to before. These students may have different learning styles where they have difficulties in a traditional classroom.

Math can be difficult for students who don't know the basics of why it works the way it does.

They may not have been exposed to math in a way that makes sense to them and therefore aren't successful. Giving them the access to pictorial and concrete models using computers will help them to see why math works. These are the students we are trying to keep from falling through the cracks.
