Ms. Mitchell from Chicago IL is requesting instructional technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students a Kodak projector that will assist in the engagement of their learning, the participation in executing specific tasks and a sure way to teach these students that learning can be achieved creatively.

The 4th, 5th and 6th grade students I work with are all students that receive special education services outside of the classroom for the core subjects of math and reading. They spend as much time as allotted with their general education peers and are eventually pulled out for reading or math by myself. They are hard working and very determined to move to the next level and exemplify more rigor than most.
Not only do they receive special education services for academics, but some struggle with behavior issues and spend each school day trying to fit in socially and fight maintaining their emotions and issues as best they can.
These students want nothing more than to succeed and the opportunity to make the best decisions possible for their academic lives as well as their social lives.
This projector will be used as a learning basis to different objectives needed to be achieved throughout the school year by creating a bigger and more engaging view for students. It will be used as an incentive when students earn music choice time, movie choice time and group game time. This projector will also serve as a calm time assistant when students are excited from gym, recess or any events from the weekend or night before and need support in relaxing their body and mind. This projector is needed to support students in focusing and engagement. Please and thank you!
