My students love to have interactive lessons that they can all participate in during our whole group and even our small group instruction. I teach the students who are the leaders in our school. They are the students who go and help the younger students when they are completing classroom activities and they also help plan many school functions.
My students range from the age of ten to twelve.
They are the most loving, caring and sweetest class that I have ever had. They are always very enthusiastic and excited about learning and they share my love for hands-on learning experiences. We are located in the heart of our community right in the middle of one of the largest neighborhoods. My students all live within about five miles of the school. Most are able to walk or bike to the school. My classroom is full of students who have parents that love to help in any way they can! My school is a school that tries to stay at the forefront of technology and education. We have implemented ten computers per classroom to help supplement every student’s education.
My Project
I teach the students who are starting to really focus on their futures. My students begin to research and learn how to use technology to their advantage to create projects they are proud of. With the use of more chrome books I am able to allow my students to explore this technology independently instead of sharing with another student or borrowing a computer from another class..
Technology is always advancing our students that will one day be the ones who will be on the forefront of these advances.
Giving our students the access now to these resources will allow them to grow and push their thinking at an early age.
I am asking for 5 chromebooks to build our technology access. I am also asking for 10 flash drives. These will allow my students to save activities and use any computer available. My goal is to slowly get to a 1 to 1 ratio with computers and students.
