My forty 4th grade students are hardworking and eager to learn as much as possible! As their teacher, I am trying to instill the important 21st Century Skills to prepare them to be successful in whatever they choose for their future. At this young age they are already setting their own goals and celebrating their successes.
My 4th grade students are leaders of their school and will be our leaders of tomorrow.
In class, I try to give them opportunities to practice different modes of learning with projects in order to teach critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and communication.
I believe in Project Based Learning, which keeps students engaged and able to retain the learned knowledge or skill. By having Chromebooks, my students will have access to research, increasing reading goals through AR, Reflex Math, and DreamBox.
My Project
The use of Chromebooks is almost a daily activity in my classroom, especially in research, reading and math fluency. My teaching philosophy is to provide opportunities for Project Based Learning to my students.
Chromebooks will open the doors for my students to research and make their projects come to life.
We can also play Kahoot games, which is a fun way to review virtually any subject or topic! Google Classroom is another way my students can engage in learning through the use of Chromebooks. Digital "Breakout" games are a fun way to challenge the student and learn!
We strive to be leaders in the classroom and I want them to be successful in the future. Through the use of Chromebooks, I can help prepare them to be ready.
