My Project

My students are not only learning grammar, writing, vocabulary, and reading, they are also learning how to be better people! I am incorporating projects that connect reading materials to their lives. The posterboard, markers and colored pencils are needed to create unique "kites" that will show how someone special has had positive impact on their lives. Students will draw, color, and illustrate their kites to demonstrate a connection between the story (A Christmas Memory) and their own personal memory of a loved one that has mentored them through life. The final work will be displayed for students, staff, teachers, and other visitors to view.
