Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing! We are in a rural desert community and they thirst for knowledge. My students abilities and needs are as diverse as that of a large metropolis. I have advanced students who want and need to be challenged.
I have intervention level students who love to read.
They just haven’t found their favorite book yet. And in between are my general students who thrive when challenged to present learning in a variety of ways. Creative learning is happening here!
My Project
These materials will improve my ability to equip the students with the 21st century skills that they will need beyond my classroom. Presentations, demonstrations, and creative digital collaboration are all key aspects to my curriculum. A podium will help the students feel more comfortable when addressing the whole class. A tall chair will make the environment more welcoming for discussions. And, a WiFi printer will allow the students to print quality work in my classroom. Commmunication, collaboration, and creativity will all be fostered and encourage to create life long transferrable skills for beyond high school. Thank you for your consideration.
