Our district believes in bringing a "world class education with the rural advantage" to our students. Even though we teach students with a variety of economic backgrounds, our goal is to level the playing field by providing high quality educational opportunities. Every student in the school has the chance to come to our learning commons in their classes, and they are constantly coming in for help with reading, research, STEM, and more.
My students live the rural advantage.
They embrace opportunities for hands-on learning. In our Learning Commons, students learn to work together and embrace their independence. They love that there are supports available for them to use. Our students have learned that sometimes to be successful, we have to ask for help. They also are amazing at collaboration and building each other up. We see all 500 students from every class and every ability level and allow them to challenge themselves.
My Project
Our library and STEM program to make sure that our students are not working in a vacuum. We want to make sure that they are problem solving and using their skills in practical ways. When we teach coding, we love to connect it with robotics and other areas of technology to help students get excited about the potential that coding can have.
This Tello Drone will allow our students to see their coding come to life.
It also will allow students to lean on each other as they troubleshoot issues and figure out the best way to work the drone.
