My students are inquisitive and ready to be challenged. They work hard and show their eagerness to learn each and every day. Loganville Middle School's overall performance is higher than 64% of schools in the state and is higher than its district. Our students' academic growth is higher than 55% of schools in the state and higher than its district. Needless to say, we're proud of our school and our students.
STEM is a new part of our curriculum.
While we are excited about our students' growth, we know that STEM and all of its elements can push our students to a new level. One of the parts of STEM that my students are interested in is coding. We would love to have materials to help us learn more about how to use coding programs to operate robots.
My Project
I have special plans for Dot and Dash! We will use these robots to teach students skills that they can build on. Eventually, I would like to expose all of our students to coding robots and different programs.
Our students have limited exposure to different careers, especially our girls, and I would like to change that!
My plan is to start a coding club for girls only that will benefit from using these resources. We are looking for new and exciting ways to integrate programming.
From special needs to gifted, all of our students enjoy technology! I look forward to having these items for all of them to use.
