Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classes are 7th and 8th grade English learners, and general education English.

My classroom is enriched in diversity, as I have students from all different cultures and religions.

They are in junior high, a time where they must be engaged all class period. I love learning more about what I can do in the classroom to promote engagement. I must also meet the needs of my learners, by presenting the learning in ways that meet their own personal styles of learning. For my English Learners, I hope to learn more strategies specific to their cultural differences and needs. I want to create an inclusive environment in my classroom.

My Project

I will be learning new techniques that will focus on organizational concepts. As a new teacher, it is difficult to assign group tasks, with classroom management and organization still being areas of growth. I am hoping this course will allow me to better implement collaboration projects in my classroom.

I will be able to provide individual and group projects supporting critical thinking and creative interaction, and learn how to teach in a cohesive way.

My participation in this course will benefit my students' learning this school year. Being a new teacher, this course will give me support as I create projects for my students to collaborative, in a smooth way.
