My Students

Our students are a diverse group of students who deserve only the best educators. Our school is the largest middle school in our school district, holding over 1,100 students.

This building is a building where passionate adults come to serve our community and teach our students as best they can.

It is our goal to make students feel important, loved, and smart every day. This building is a building full of people of all ages who want to see each other succeed and grow.

My Project

My district is currently moving to a reading and writing workshop model. In order to do this, my ELA team and I need staff development tools to learn how to best serve students. Kelly Gallagher's "Write Like This" will give me the opportunity to use his writing models to help my students grow. Because learning is a group sport, three copies will help my teaching partners and I to study together in order to plan writing mini-lessons. The copy of Minor's text will help me to understand my students better. I will use this book to grow my relationships with students.
