My students need classroom furniture and organizational supplies, such as drawers and filing systems, to support their access to materials and help us maintain a productive learning environment.
My students have the unique experience of learning in a space with tremendously high academic expectations and a deep infusion of arts, technology, and social-emotional development. As a K-8 site that has built out one grade level at a time, many of our students have had the additional experience of multiple years in this learning environment.
Our students are deeply bright, incredibly insightful, and powerful young men and women who are creating visions for their futures and taking active steps toward achieving their goals.
By providing targeted intervention, I am helping to propel my students toward deeper and broader content understanding, increased achievement, and high levels of confidence and competence. All of this work is in the ultimate service of empowering my students, illuminating their voices, and partnering with them to dream about, and then work to create, a future that is equitable and bright.
My Project
In the intervention classroom, I will see students across many grades and classrooms. Students will come to my classroom space to receive additional instruction in targeted areas that will empower them to be more successful in their classrooms.
In our space, effective time and materials management will be paramount to success, so we can devote our brain power and energy to being engaged in learning and growing!
Having a classroom where all students have their materials neatly organized, available, and prepared for the day will mean quick access to learning, feelings of inclusion and involvement in our classroom, and a productive learning environment in which all kiddos can grow. Markers, index cards, laminating supplies, and white boards will help us engage in meaningful classroom work in a variety of ways.
