Mrs. Richardson from Moss Point MS is requesting technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need 25 flash drives to save their work when producing and publishing writings based on requirements for common core standards.

The challenge my students face is not being able to save and print their writing projects. We work in our lab three times a week for 30 minute blocks. It is discouraging and quite disappointing to work extremely hard and not be able to save, edit, and print their projects.
My students are awesome.
They strive to be the best they can be. Our school is a 3rd and 4th grade school. We are in the 80 plus percentile for free and reduced lunches. We are working very hard to prepare for the transition to Common Core Standards.
The majority of my students do not have access to computers and printers in their homes. Using the flash drives will allow the students the ability to save, print, and publish their reports. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for them. They are looking forward to using the computers for research and reports. It is a Common Core Standard for 4th grades to be able to sit and type a minimal one page report in one sitting. This is a goal of ours for this year; we're not waiting until it is implemented next year. Students will learn to use technology, including the Internet, to produce and publish as well as interact and collaborate with others. They will also be polishing their keyboarding skills.
Your donations, allowing us to have flash drives, will make a difference for my students' ability to research, save, revise, and publish their work.
They will become more confident and motivated to express themselves through research and writing. They will practice and develop grade level appropriate typing skills. This will help them to reach their educational goal of becoming confident, engaged, not to mention successful, students.
