My students need Osmo Kits (Coding With Awbie, Mind Racers, Pizza Company and Coding Jam) to explore reading, science, math, and problem solving, using reflective artificial intelligence in conjunction with iPads.
Every day in Kindergarten the children work in Learning Centers. Working with technology, specifically iPads and Osmo keeps the excitement level up and student learning moving in the right direction.
Kindergartners are so proud when they can solve problems independently and helping them achieve that is probably one of the most exciting aspects of my job!
I am constantly searching for new and exciting materials to motivate all of my students to be as successful as possible. The Osmo games will delight and challenge all students!
My Project
My goal is to help my beginning and at-risk students improve their Reading and Math skills so they can perform at grade level or higher. They will also greatly benefit from the critical thinking and cooperative learning required by the Osmo apps.
The Osmo will give my students the opportunity to use technology while manipulating objects and interacting with each other.
Osmo is an award winning hands-on learning experience that uses an iPad and reflective artificial intelligence by turning the space in front of the iPad into a digital game board. It is interactive and gives the immediate feedback that Kindergartners need. It has word games, number games, puzzles and many other interactive activities that can be differentiated for all students.
Osmo is developmentally appropriate while being fun, exciting and challenging for my young students. Osmo will be added into our iPad center so that all students can use it either individually or with a partner.
Besides academic gains, I hope to see dramatic improvements with critical thinking skills and cooperative learning. It will be so exciting to provide my students with access to this advanced technology!
