This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
After being interrupted by Hurricane Harvey and having a very late start to the current 2017-2018 school year, I have been tasked with working even harder than normal to get my scholars back on track and prepared for STAAR test in May. My scholars come from many backgrounds and encounter many different hardships on a daily basis. Now that we are moving full throttle into the current year we need to make sure we stay on top and moving toward GREATNESS!!!!
Technology has the ability to enhance the current and future relationships I have worked hard to build with my scholars.
Classroom technology helps occupy an important place in my scholars lives. By integrating more technology in my classroom, I can provide my scholars with the tools they will need to take them into the 21st century. It can also help with integrating all subjects areas, and make teaching and learning more meaningful and fun. I want my scholars to work on Achieve 3000 and Think Through Math Daily to help bridge the gaps they may have from previous years to aid in complete success their 3rd grade year!
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! The Kindle cases will proTECH the gift of technology we have received. It will help the students move around the classroom to the comfort zones. During workstations my students love to move about in the classroom to their comfort zones to ensure they are relaxed and willing to focus hard on their online learning. The lap desk will aide students in working in awkward places or positions. Feeling safe and comfortable is a HUGE factor in learning. Flexible seating is the new learning environment and I want to make sure I offer my students every opportunity to stay feeling safe, comfortable and confident in their daily classroom environment. Safe and comfortable classroom environments work wonders when they are effective and engaging! We’re sooo ready to receive our gifts!!
