Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My 3rd graders attend an arts-themed charter school where 90% of the students are learning English as a second language and 100% of students receive free lunch based on their socioeconomic status. As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, I see my third grade students facing many challenges both in and out of the classroom everyday. Regardless, they want to absorb as much information they can; as fast as they can. They are eager to learn!
My students amaze me everyday!
I see their responsibility and maturity evolving daily. They continue to master the art of becoming independent, self motivated learners. My kids' curiosity and love of learning is evident from the moment you walk in our room.
My Project
We will use these so that the students have privacy while trying to work. The students get distracted easily and this will help them to stay focused. Many times students eyes look around and at their neighbors paper when they get stuck on a question. The nice thing about these and they can't see what question someone else is on or copy their answer. It forces the students to think for themselves and make the best decision. I have used many other kids of dividers in the past and I think these will be great and easy to use for the students.
