Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are 3rd grade High Ability students that have so many different interests, personalities, socio-economic statuses, and abilities. They attend a school in which all students receive 100% free lunch and breakfast daily. We have been on a crazy ride so far this year with me joining them after the school year had already started, but we have worked together to embrace the changes and be as flexible and understanding as we can!

They have already grown so much this year, and I can't wait to see how much farther they go!

My Project

My students are very conscious about their learning and how they learn and work best. There are hundreds of distractions that go on all around the classroom daily that are inevitable. Privacy partitions will allow my students to block out distractions anywhere they are in the room including at their desks, group tables, or on the floor.

This will help my students take control of their learning, and provide the tools necessary to encourage a positive learning environment!

By providing my students with easy access to privacy partitions and a rack to hold them, my students will be able to use one whenever they feel as though they need to block out the distractions around them and truly focus.
