Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Oh the frustrations of taking a test and the kid next to you is always finished early. You start to sweat and get nervous that your not finished yet and you start worrying instead of completing your test to your best ability.
Privacy caddies help students work at their own pace without undue stress.
I have a great bunch of kids in a low economic community.
These children have more stresses than a 7 year old needs. Our school provides them with breakfast to take one of those worries away. When they enter their classroom, I like them to feel that everything is going to be okay.
My Project
I am requesting privacy caddies and timers so that students can use them for testing privacy and a quiet place to work without being disturbed or interrupted by others. Timers are used for fluency testing that allows students to work together, be independent, and encourages team work.
Students need a place they can retreat to so that they can concentrate and do their best.
Distractions of others can cause them to race through their work and feel stressed. Allowing students to time each other also increases independence and ownership.
