My students need 30 individual privacy partitions to help them concentrate while taking tests, doing assignments, and reading.

I teach twenty-six 5th grade students at a low-income/high-risk Title 1 school in a portable classroom.

"Hey, I'm trying to learn" is a key problem for many of my challenged, ADAD, resource, gifted, and regular educational needs students. They really concentrate better when there are not distractions from their very close "neighbors"! I also know that it gives them a sense of safety and security when they are able to take out their privacy partition and get "away" for awhile. Test taking is also much improved when students do not try to keep pace with the other students. They don't want to be the last one done on their test, so they look around and see if their classmates are finished. I have seen several students working hard on a test and/or assignment and then hurry through the rest of it so that they don't feel slow.

I need privacy partitions to put on each child's desk so that my students can concentrate on testing, reading, and assignments. I know that my students will do better if they don't get distracted or distract others.

Your help will ensure that my students not only do their best on the high-stakes testing required by the No Child Left Behind law. It will also help them on a daily basis to maximize their learning potential.
