Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Preschool ranges from ages 3 years old to 5 years old. Preschool is the foundation of all education which is what makes preschool so special! When students are entering my classroom, it is my goal to give my students and their families the very best first impression as possible!

In preschool, students acquire skills needed for kindergarten readiness.

It is imperative I support their social-emotional learning and provide a variety of enriching experiences. ALL children can and will learn, mainly through playful interactions with people and materials. The learning environment encourages creative exploration with a balance of child- and adult-initiated, age-appropriate activities.

My Project

This piece of furniture will support children in giving children a defined space to utilize to self regulate. Social emotional skills such as recognizing, labeling and managing their feelings skills that are important not only for school but as well is in everyday life. This is support children in creating relationships with their peers and adults and begin to show empathy for others when they begin to recognize their own feelings and emotions. Children will then be able to express their feelings while problem solving when conflicts arise inside and outside the classroom.
