Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Different stages of life have their own challenges, but middle school is one of the most impressionable times in one's life. To top it off, 93% of my students have been identified as being at a social economical disadvantaged. Coming from a low income/high poverty school district, having an organized & safe environment to learn is essential for their emotional and academic growth.
Although my students have these setbacks, they set aside their daily obstacles and still show up to school ready to learn every single day.
They are my inspiration and one day will be the leaders to inspire the rest of the world.
My Project
Do you remember taking tests at school and constantly trying to cover up your answers so that your neighbor wouldn't cheat off of your paper? Well, my student's are going through this exact challenge.
We are in need of privacy boards to utilize during testing and independent practice time.
Trying to use our text books is getting really old and having boundaries helps the classroom run smoothly. We are in need of 40 boards because our school is overpopulated and class sizes can reach up to 38+ students.
Providing these simple materials for our class will go a long way and will definitely be used for many future classes to come!
