Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is on a Reserve Base. We serve the children of our men and women serving in the United States military from all branches. Our school has over 1000 children that come from diverse military families. Children move every few years and have to start a new school because of the military parents' duty station transfer.
At our school, teachers and staff members strive to provide the best possible education to the military children who have to endure a new home, new school, and new friends every few years.
The mission of our school is to educate our military-dependent children, no matter what their backgrounds or previous school experiences, to fully achieve their personal and academic potential through the acquisition of core knowledge and the skills of analysis, problem-solving, communication, and global responsibility.
My Project
These privacy partitions help students that tend to get a bit distracted by peers during tested and need to be reminded to stay focused.
Students will be able to remain focus and concentrate on their work tasks and test without being easily distracted with other students around them.
Having these Lakeshore learning partitions in our classroom will dramatically eliminate distractions around learners.
I have my students put open books between them to keep them from sharing their knowledge during tests. The books tended to fall over and be a distraction. Our class would used the privacy panels for testing and more quiet Accelerator Reading time.
These Partitions will be used by my students for years to come as a fun way to ensure privacy and reduce wandering eyes!
