This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Students will practicipate in an afterschool culinary class that will integrate math, art, movement, reading, science, and social justice using recipes and real life problems in areas such as food disparity and healthy eating options in their neighborhood.
Students will learn the importance of food sanitation protocols and will recording their findings in journals after they complete their dish for the day.
Students will be able to identify their interests and strengths and build on those through culinary arts. Students will be able to demonstrate interest in trying new foods.
