My students need the supplies so each student gets to experience printmaking in Art class. Each student will get a foam plate to etch in their own design.
I will be a first year Art Teacher in an actively growing community of South Carolina. There is a great diversity of students at our school.
I am opening up a new art room and want to provide my students with a wide array of art mediums to try including printmaking which requires various tools and supplies.
I am excited to introduce them to printmaking and know this can be fun and creative for all grades from Pre-K to 5th grade.
My Project
The materials and supplies I have requested will enhance their Art classroom experience. This will give each student from PreK to 5th grade the opportunity to try the art of printmaking. I believe it is pertinent to expose the young students to all aspects of art. You never know what a child may find an interest in and exposing them to various materials will only make their elementary art experience greater.
Each student will get a scratch-foam board to etch their own design in.
With the brayers, they will be able to experiment with various ink colors and paper to accomplish various designs.
