This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach in a Head Start classroom and my students range from 3-5 years old. I have 34 students as I teach in a half day room, so I have 17 in each group. This program gives children from all cultures, all levels of learning, and various levels of incomes an opportunity to learn and thrive within the community.
My students come into the classroom everyday knowing that they are entering into a safe place.
My students love to learn new things together. They love to learn about science, social studies, and anything hands on. I can’t wait to see where they go in life with their inquisitive nature.
My Project
Printers make pictures perfect for eager learners! My little ones are constantly growing and learning new skills. In order to keep up with their rate of learning, I am in need of a color printer and colorful ink that will be used to create materials to engage students in acquiring new literacy and language skills. The colorful picture pages will be laminated to create a lasting learning activity catering to the student's individual learning and behavioral needs.
My students love hands-on activities and the color printer with colorful ink will give me the ability to create long lasting adaptive materials for my students!
