My Beginning Spanish, Spanish 1 and future Spanish 2 students love doing projects that connect their learning to projects about the Spanish-speaking world!
Projects that we work on in class help connect grammar and culture so that what we are learning is relevant to them.
In the past we have done projects about food, sports, dream houses, and family trees, but students are not as proud of their work sometimes because their projects lack in color, even though some students are very artistically gifted. The ability to print in color will help my students' projects become even more beautiful to reflect not just things they have learned, but some of their artistic abilities as well.
My Project
Many of my students do not have color printers, let alone a printer at all, at their homes. As a result, I print a lot of what they need for their projects, but I only have access to a black and white printer.
Sometimes the only way to truly appreciate what the world has to offer us, is to see it in color.
All of the projects that students have done this year and in previous years have been in black and white, unless students had access to color printers, which is not always the case. By allowing students access to a color printer, they can start to have more pride in their work and go above and beyond because they know they have the materials to make their projects go from good to AMAZING!
