Help me give my students a classroom with easy access to an unlimited variety of materials. Art, parent communication, worksheets, projects.... you name it. This printer is going to be a game changer for us!!!!!
I have 22 unique, diverse, creative, and talented 1st grade students that are excited to learn about that world around them. As with all teachers, getting to know each student's personality, interests, style of learning and areas of need along with their talents is a journey that is not easy, sometimes stressful, but overwhelmingly fulfilling.
My class is very social and eager to create memorable and meaningful experiences where they can continue learning about themselves, each other and the world around them, which is what I am hoping to encourage both in and out of the classroom.
My Project
Having a high quality printer with high quality ink in the classroom will be a game changer. Whether used for center activities, homework assignments, brightly colored art work, school flyers, game boards for literacy groups and comprehension activities, creating puzzles for word building.....anything paper related, these products will be used and will be used often. I am finding myself choosing activities for the class that aren't as meaningful or art projects that don't require the same type of printing and paper because of the high cost of printing, especially on cardstock. I have been wanting to create more art projects and comprehension games for learning centers on card stock, but creating these games require money, print shops, and time with middle men that have prevented me from being able to fully implement the things I have hoped to bring to the class. So many beautiful art projects can be done and done often simply by having access to a convenient, quality printer and having quality paper. Printing on card stock might not sound like a huge deal, but it is! I have been really wanting these items and am itching for the chance to bring these things to the class more consistently than I have been able to in the past.
