Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students have so much potential and are so fun to teach. They touch my heart every day. I teach pre-k children with disabilities. They are 3 to 5 years old with mild to severe disabilities. They all come from low-income families and have been affected by Hurricane Harvey.
Our school, for many, is the only safe place they have right now that includes lots of routine and love.
We provide stability in addition to an excellent education in a family-type atmosphere that has some very positive impacts on our kids. Thank you for your support.
My Project
My Pre-k students with special needs learn best with bright, colorful pictures that they can relate to real-life. The also need bold lines to practice tracing, coloring, and cutting. We are limited with the amount of printing we can do, especially in color.
Our special needs classes need a color printer/copier/scanner so that we can print resources, supplies, and flyers for our students and parents.
This will help 3 of our special needs classes to be able to print items for our classes and create a more stimulating environment and print out flyers and necessary paperwork for our parents. We really appreciate your generosity and for supporting our classes.
