Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
All of my preschool students have some type of special need. The special needs of the students include autism, speech and communication delays and multiple disabilities. They enjoy working on the computer and this helps with their communication skills. They enjoy printing out the computer projects that are working on and discussing and describing what they have made. My students are also from low income families that don't have access to home computers and printers and enjoy taking their work home to show their parents.
My Project
My preschool students with special needs will be able to print up their pictures and art work which will allow them to use technology for communication purposes. These materials will allow them to learn, explore, and build computer skills which will assist them with future use of technology.
These projects will assist my preschool students with special needs with their communication skills by describing and discussing their printed computer projects or works of art.
I hope to assist my students with their social emotional, cognitive and fine motor development through the use of technology and printed materials that they have created on their own.
