Have you ever heard a band play in public? When you hear my students, you will not know that they are children. I teach Band at our urban high school and am working alongside my students to continue to develop our ensemble.
The desire that my kids show for learning is nothing short of amazing.
Our community has embraced us as we work on continuing to develop a program that all of our children will be proud of for many years to come. As our program continues to flourish, we find ourselves in need of more financial support as we perform out in public more and more.
My Project
Basic office necessities can be often neglected due to more pressing needs in a band room. We need a quality color printer with ink in order to meet the needs of our growing program logistically.
My students take great pride in our program, and would benefit greatly by being able to scan and print in color locally rather than having to go elsewhere.
Our program is very student run, and often times our kids are in need of printing things like programs and flyers off in color. For now, they have to find alternate means of doing so, such as reserving media center time or taking things home. I am beyond proud of everything my students do to brighten their futures each day, and I want to do everything possible to make sure that they will continue to do so. Having a quality color printer will help our program continue to move forward logistically. Thank you for your consideration.
