This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 3rd grade class is full of 25 incredible people, with big and beautiful personalities. They are creative, innovative and problem solvers. Their favorite type of learning is hands-on exploration.

Our school has 98.9% of the population living below the poverty line and many are learning English as their second language.

We have Hispanic, Pacific Islanders, African American and Caucasian cultures represented in my classroom. My group of free thinking, ambitious students function as a family, cultivating our education together.

My Project

We use the printer all year long to print stories, math, social studies and science projects. These ink cartridges go a long way to help my students build their portfolios and take home their work to show their parents. The portfolios show their growth and success throughout the year. They are able to take these with them to 4th grade and give their new teacher insight into their academic abilities.

The ink may seem small, but it goes along way to help our students grow.

They will be able to print their writing and projects in order to edit and show their parents their work. They will be able to proudly display their work.
