I work with students who have Individualized Education Plans. They are at least 1.5- 2 years behind their same age peers academically. We find the creative way to learn the common core standards as well as working on their individual goals. My students know they are smart and able to do school work, we just do it in a different way.
School can be hard for these kids and I want to make sure it can be as easy as possible.
Being in a non Title I school, we don't have access to as many resources. A printer isn't in the budget.
I have chosen this color printer with a scanner for a number of reasons. My students see text and pictures different than other students. They can pick up on a grade level skill if given the right accommodations. I'm hoping to use this printer as a large part of our accommodations.
Adding color to student work can help get the learning into their brain faster.
I also have to print confidential files for the kids. We have been asked to scan the some of the students' information into the state system. It would be useful to have this printer/scanner in my room for these reasons.
