Help me give my students the ability to print out activities that can aid them in their academic goals and use the technology in the amazon tablet to aid them in reading and researching for classroom projects.
Our school prides itself on its diversity and our academically driven, visual and performing arts program. We know that while some days are not easy, every child is intelligent, talented and driven. The students in my class do their best everyday. They all learn from each other by engaging with one another and working to grow academically.

Each one of my students experiences different physical and sensory needs, as well as intellectual impairments. Though they are young our goal is to prepare them academically so they can move on to middle school and then high school.
My class is located within one of our schools eight co-located community sites. We are apart of District 75, which is the citywide district for special education. As a teacher I strive to give my students everything that they need in order to foster a consistent development in all necessary areas.
My Project
All of our students require additive learning in each lesson. That requires a significant amount of printing. My students are also very visual and being able to print in color can benefit them. Having a printer in the classroom can also aid in creating visual schedules to help all the students throughout the school day.
In my classroom we focus on structured teaching, so there are times in the day where we need to do rotation , in order to promote a variety of exposure to different skills.
For some students part of that rotation includes the ability to use technology in order to have access to ABC Mouse, Reading IQ, Reading A-Z and Teach a Monster to Read. Having the ability to have a tablet in the classroom can allow the student to have a one to one interaction in order to help promote new skills.
