My Students

As our technology grows in the classroom, we find ourselves faced with the challenge of keeping up with today's technology. We currently are unable to utilize a working printer from our laptop computer which we use on a daily basis for learning and information.

The students in my classroom all come from families with the latest technology.

This adds a challenge for our classroom in that we have to stimulate and keep up with their current knowledge and experience. Our students are extremely capable and energized with technology and will do amazing projects when given the chance. As a teacher, I am amazed at what they can do. These children need to be able to move forward in their knowledge and abilities in the area of technology.

My Project

With a wireless printer in our classroom, we will be able to access technology and information easily and efficiently. With help from Chevron, Fuel Your School Program, students can easily print out information as needed. Students with special needs will be able to work on computers and iPads and print out their work. I believe that this will greatly effect their success and self-esteem of at risk students, as well as create efficiency for many.

The most important aspect of this project is that it is vital in order for our class to use a printer at all.

Students who are able to utilize advanced technology need to extend their learning not only in their home, but at school as well. This computer will enable our classroom to print and to keep up with our current technology needs.
