Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Due to the pandemic, all of my children are learning from home via technology that the school has provided for a majority of them. All instruction is done through Google Classroom activities, videos and 1:1 sessions for each child's need.
I have continued to explore and utilize new platforms and ways to provide materials to my students to provide the best learning experience I can!
Being a class of mixed grades, and multiple abilities and disabilities, I continue to need to grow as an educator to reach all of my students needs!
My Project
My students and parents require a lot of visual tools for guidance with remote learning. I constantly have toolkits that I update, based on the unit in each subject, that my children have access to at all times.
The printers and laminators will allow me to print and create toolkits in each subject area that I can send home to my families to guide their learning!
I will be able to print a toolkit for each child and their families and laminate certain tools that will be used more regularly to preserve them from getting ruined. I also laminate work mats that will guide them in Math, Reading and Writing that I would be able to send home. These materials would be extremely beneficial to their home learning and assisting the parents in teaching their children!
