Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Title I classes contain very diverse groups of students who receive reduced-price lunches. They have different learning strengths. All the students are kindhearted and strive to further themselves academically.
When learning during a pandemic, students do not get the benefit of group work and collaboration which is fundamental to learning.
Additionally, recent budget cuts due to the pandemic make funds for technology difficult to get. My project will add a strong element of technology which will be used to reach the different learning strengths of my students.
My Project
As a teacher of a title I school in a disadvantaged suburb in San Diego, I can attest that my students do not get many experiences that will set them on a successful path to succeed in this technologically driven and demanding world.
My vision is that every student can learn to plan, code, create, and learn through this printer.
Students can use the printer to demonstrate knowledge gained through certain core subjects, and I could use the printer to create manipulatives to heighten learning. Student's would also learn the necessary coding needed to create their imaginations, setting them up for real world success.
