Our school is nestled in the heart of Michigan where many students come from low economic backgrounds. That never stops our kids from being excited about their opportunities at school. The group this year is very unique and have fun personalities. Every 5th grade student is at their own level in different subjects but works very hard to achieve the learning goals.
In our class, we have a very strong foundation of community that makes students eager to come to school every day.
My students truly carve their own path in their learning. I have never had students so motivated to grow!
My Project
At our school, the only place students can print is in our computer lab with two very unreliable printers. Anytime they are in use, students end up having streaks down their pages. With this being an issue, students need to have a reliable machine to print on that is easily accessible through our classroom.
The Brother Printer and Copier will provide a chance for students to print right in our classroom from Chromebooks.
Many of our students lack technology in their homes and have no way of sharing or continuing their work after school. This will open up a large opportunity for students.
Additionally, we will need extra toner to ensure students have the ability to print throughout the school year and for students to come!
