My students need copy paper, toner and a printer because they we have is very slow, gets jammed easily, and does not allow students to print on their own work without my help.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from a high poverty neighborhood where most families struggle to make ends meet. These supplies would be essential to helping students create work of their highest potential. My students often come to class everyday where they are provided with breakfast and are willing and ready to learn despite the challenges they face on daily basis. By providing them with the tools they need will help to further ensure success. We are a fourth grade class in a high poverty area in NYC. My students may not have a lot of money and resources but what they lack in, they make up for with heart and determination to succeed. Whenever possible, I like to expose them to things they will not have access to because of their economic status.
My Project
A working printer within our classroom accompanied with paper readily available as well as ink, will lend its hand to the student technology center in the classroom. Our students enjoy using the classroom computer to publish work but then the final touch would be to print it in order to display for all to see. Students will have access to the printer and display their published pieces and projects with pride.
A printer would allow my students to print out multiple copies of their finished work, students like to to include their published printed work in their portfolios also take home to show family and friends!
