My Students
My class is a small picture of the greater community that is a part of this proud old city. Many of my students are very economically challenged. Ninety percent of our student population receives free or reduced priced breakfast and lunch. Yet, my motley crew is a band of enthusiastic learners. They are dedicated to achieving their goals and finding solutions to these challenges.
Imagine the surprise I had when my only class printer failed to work with no chance of replacement.
To my shock, the school technology is very limited so, I don't have a printer for my classroom or for my computer. So, to add more complex issues, my computers are to old to receive any support or to be networked to the one printer that is broken in class that we currently have. Now, we have computers without a functioning printer and no help to use them. So, all of the expectations I have for having a better literature rich math class is in jeopardy. We need your assistance to make printing a reality for a class filled with hope.
My Project
Now, we have computers without a functioning printer and absolutely no help to use them. Sadly, I was informed that the printer was to old to network. So, all of the enthusiasm the children had is beginning to disturb them. I'm actively looking for some support but, I do not want to disappoint my students. New printers would significantly help my class.
New printers would be an amazing addition to our classroom.
Our school doesn't have a librarian and my lending library is old so, research for my students is very problematic. Having a new laser printer will alleviate the printing challenges of waiting for reports being published, editing will be easier and research will be simplified for my motley crew.
Please consider the printer plight of my students, your contributions can make my enthusiastic learners bloom. With the current situation, my motley crew will be a band without technology and the music of their determination will grow silent. We are patiently waiting to print but, we need you to provide the hardware and to add the ink that will write the songs of our enthusiasm.
