This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember what it was like to type or write a story you were proud of and how exciting it was to bring that published piece home?

My students are at a low-income, magnet school.

They are fortunate to have as much access to technology as they do, but they need more help in actually being able to bring those finished pieces they are so proud of home. Not all of them have Internet at home, so just emailing their files home is not always an option.

My Project

I am requesting a color printer that is multifunctional. The printers that were in our classroom broke this year and the school district does not have enough money to purchase new ones. My students are not able to print any of their work, including assignments that need to be brought home. I also need the copy machine function to make quick copies of missing student work or to copy notes home regarding student behavior for documentation purposes.

This project will help with parental involvement and get students excited to bring their work home again.

They have struggled not being able to print documents to refer to to enhance their education. This printer would help students with each of these items.
