Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach 29 eager 5th-grade students in an ICT classroom located in an urban area. We are a Title 1 schools having the majority of our students coming from low social economic homes and are disadvantaged students. This project will give them access to technology and support their needs in order to prepare them for real-world experiences. The classroom should be a safe positive working place and the students deserve opportunities and resources to support their academic social-emotional growth.

My Project

An HP LaserJet Printer will help transform the classroom. It will reduce the wait time for producing published pieces of work, projects, and homework assignments. It will reduce the stress and strain from parents going to local libraries to assist with deadlines. It would be a win-win for a home school community connection when using technology on a daily basis.

The HP LaserJet Pro Wireless printer will help create a print-rich environment showing the student accomplishments.

They will be able to add pictures, graphs, maps and charts to their writing. Printing is a basic and essential need in the classroom. As a teacher, I would be able to also print progress reports for parents as well as certificates and awards. Please consider giving to our project. A printer will be a great impact on our classroom and we would benefit tremendously.
