This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a Kindergarten teacher, in a high-poverty school district, in New Jersey. I have 25 excited and eager students in my class this year. Despite the numerous challenges they face, my students love to learn and look forward to coming to school each day. For many of these students, this is the only stable and safe place that they have. I strive to create a peaceful classroom environment, where each student will be able to have fun as they grow and learn.

My Project

Our classroom printers are used on a daily basis to communicate with parents, create items to enhance daily learning, and to print out student work created on the computer. Being able to print makes a huge impact on the learning in my classroom. I rely on the printer to print items that enhance our lessons.

Daily use means we go through a lot of ink.

Funding for supplies is quite limited, in my district at this time, allowing for only the most basic materials to be purchased. Your support will allow my classroom to continue to run as smoothly as possible.
