My students need ink for our classroom printer in order to print items created on our classroom computers and to make copies of class drawing and writing projects, as well as label tape and prizes for behavior incentives.
The students who attend our school are students from diverse backgrounds. Many attend our school from outside of our immediate area specifically because of the location in a small mountain community. They come because we are a high performing school and we are a Certified Wildlife Habitat as designated by the National Wildlife Federation. We utilize our outdoor areas to enhance education.
The Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten students come from a variety of cultures and backgrounds and become a classroom family in our shared space.
The Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten children range in ages from 4 to 6 years old. They are curious and creative children who enjoy learning and playing and who thrive in a stimulating classroom environment that supports fostering their independence.
My Project
We have a classroom treasure box kept full of small prizes given to students to acknowledge positive behavior. This practice encourages the children to see the best in others and to feel rewarded for their hard work in class. We need bubble bottles and small toys as incentives.
An organized classroom benefits children and encourages independence.
We label items using a label maker so the children can develop print awareness, but we need more label tape. We are also fortunate to have a classroom printer but need replacement ink to print out student computer-created items. We also use the printer to copy work the children want to take home so we can have a copy saved at school.
