My Students

The students at my school are eager to learn and especially enjoy learning through books. As a school, we strive to instill a lifelong love of reading.

As a charter school in a lower income area with more than 40 percent of our students receiving free or reduced price lunches, my students do more with less.

Yet, their passion to succeed can be seen in the fact that we test as one of the top schools in the state on standardized tests.

My Project

Printing spine labels for the library's books on the shared school printer has become quite the hassle, resulting in wasted labels and ink. What once worked easily has now become a nightmare.

With my very own printer in the library, I would be able to configure settings that would print the spine labels correctly the first time, allowing for quicker book turnout and more efficiency.

The faster the books can be out on the shelves, the faster the students can engage their minds in learning.

Having a printer in the library would also allow me to be more available to students, as I wouldn't need to leave the library to make copies.
