This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are exploring the creation of stories through the use of multimedia devises. Without a printer the students are unable to display their projects and have hard copies.
Third through fifth grade students at an urban elementary school in St.
Louis, Missouri will use these supplies. Currently they have limited access to technology which keeps them from being competitive. In order for my students to learn about various technologies they need a printer.
My Project
Students will be creating various projects using different technological formats. Projects will include "choose your own adventure" stories, character biographies, and student autobiographies. Students will have the opportunity to print their projects to share with their families and to display throughout the school.
These projects will help students improve their reading and writing skills as well as their presentation skills.
Allowing students to print their projects and share them with others will give them a sense of pride in their work.
