This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our school is located in a rural area. My school serves students in grades 2-5 and provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers, and a safe learning environment for all students. Many of our families often struggle to find employment and opportunities. They often struggle to provide the basic needs for their children. Many of our parents work very hard to provide as much as they can for their children. Although our students face these difficulties, they still come to school eager to learn.

My Project

I have found a great resource that will help my students work on math and science using a hands-on approach. The copier will allow me to print these wonderful activities for my students. I'm using the materials to make math and science STEM activities that the students will use in small groups to help build their math and science skills with a hands-on approach. There are many different STEM activities that will engage my students in enriching their math and science skills. My hope is that by making these activities that this will help increase my students' scores on high stakes testing.
