This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am a first year teacher in a self-contained special education 2nd/3rd grade classroom. My students are all special in their own unique ways and want nothing more than to come to school and learn each and every day!
The majority of my students come from low-income households.
Having additional materials in the classroom help to lessen the burden on their families.
My students are so enthusiastic about learning and come to school each and every day eager to grow and gain knowledge. They make being a teacher rewarding!
My Project
We have printer problems in our classroom! I am looking to add the use of a printer in order to better serve my students with diverse needs and backgrounds. Having a printer will allow me to differentiate my lesson plans and create teacher-made materials such as reference charts, assessments, worksheets, graphic organizers, etc. In a special education classroom, there are many different types of learners, so having the flexibility to modify materials, will allow me to cater to my students individual and unique needs. Having an eco printer in the classroom not only helps us everyday, but it will save me on having to buy ink every other week!
