Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students attend school in one of the poorest cities in California. Nestled in the rural Central Valley, the majority of our students are English Language Learners and qualify for free/reduced lunch. The majority of our students have parents who work in agriculture. Despite their socioeconomic challenges, our students are humble, genuine, polite, and outgoing. This is what makes them special.
Recognized as a School-To-Watch in 2017, our staff seeks to bring out the best in our students.
We have spent countless hours preparing our students for the challenges they will face as they enter each phase of their lives.
My Project
The printer will mostly be used for my ELD courses. The extra toner, I am asking for, will allow me to print assignments without worrying if I will run out of toner. This printer will be used to print out student work such as writing assignments.
My students will benefit from this because I will be able to print out their assignments instantly.
The feedback will be instant, and they will be able to review their work. This will make them better writers. They would also be able to take this printed assignment home and show it to their parents.
