My Students
My students are amazing, they come from bilingual households, they are willing to experiment with different techniques in special printmaking. My school is a title 1, and needs more support and sponsor to make our creative dreams come through.
In our school, we have an art club where students from all grades are welcome to develop creative projects.
The mission of our school is to achieve academic excellence in a caring, safe, and healthy environment. The stakeholders deem that all students benefit from a program in which mathematics, science, social studies, reading, speaking, and writing in the English language are stressed and incorporated with a strong technology component. We emphasize self-worth by valuing our students as individuals and respecting their different cultures.
My Project
Print out of the box is a project to explore different techniques of printmaking. We will explore alternatives processes using materials as 'easy to cut 'block print, screen print frames, we need tools as linoleum cutters and etching needles. Materials for us to create relief, lithograph silkscreen, and etching.
As an art teacher, I want to encourage my students to explore new media and venture into the magical world of printmaking.
This project will give the opportunity for my students to scaffolding their knowledge about the art of print from monotype to dry-point, from collograph to silkscreen.
It will be a rich experience and I am sure that this project will help students to achieve mastery on different techniques of impression.
