Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

We are an innovation school this year. This means that our school has been given a chance to provide even more meaningful opportunities to the students in our boundaries. Students at my school receive free or reduced-price lunch.

I have a classroom of fourth-grade students who range in ability levels.

Our school is also a Project Restore school. Each week, students take math tests and are also assessed on reading skills. Both are cumulative and rigorous which means skills cannot be forgotten and are repeatedly practiced.

My Project

Imagine needing a quick assignment or an important document printed, but you don't have a printer or ink in your own classroom! I am running into this problem right now. I don't have a printer in my classroom to use to print any assignments or important documents to send home with my students.

Having a classroom printer and ink will provide me a way to print homework or other materials for my students, and have them quickly!

With classrooms becoming digital, having a printer will make it possible for my students to print from their Chromebooks when they have worked so long and hard on an assignment. I won't have to worry about not having what my students need anymore!
