Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are a spicy group of talented individuals. I came into a school that hadn't had much of an art program two years ago. I spent some of my own money to restock a lot of the supplies for the projects studying the elements of art. We have used a wide variety of diverse books to learn about different artists and merging literacy and art. The students have truly begun to learn a lot of art terms, about artists, and subjects.
At this time, the department is growing.
The children’s ability to create is growing, and I would love to continue to challenge them to see how high they can rise. They’re creating amazing work, and they need the materials to show it to the community. I am looking to help these students grow as the program will grow.
Currently, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, things are different. Students are adapting and we are learning every day whether it is in person, face-to-face, or maintaining distance while still remaining active in class. Our elementary school has 1400 students and families chose what model works best for them.
My Project
Help me give my students the proper tools to create a successful art base. With a color printer in my room I’ll be able to give them daily worksheets that can only increase the amount they output in class during their projects.
The scholars in my school district are super talented and just need the time to practice.
With this printer in the classroom they can have worksheets printed in the blink of an eye and be able to have extra work for when they finish their projects. They will be able to finally show the world what they can do!
